{"id":1830,"date":"2025-07-28T14:22:36","date_gmt":"2025-07-28T14:22:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/secureretirecircle.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/28\/does-putin-hit-back-when-trump-criticizes-his-bullsht\/"},"modified":"2025-07-28T14:22:36","modified_gmt":"2025-07-28T14:22:36","slug":"does-putin-hit-back-when-trump-criticizes-his-bullsht","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailycapitalsnews.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/28\/does-putin-hit-back-when-trump-criticizes-his-bullsht\/","title":{"rendered":"Does Putin hit back when Trump criticizes his \u2018bullsh*t?\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfporu000v28qigqw56s8o@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            Is there a direct link between what US President Donald Trump says and what Russian President Vladimir Putin does?    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq00023b6mdpv45f8j@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            Certainly, the harsh words and bitter violence of recent days in Ukraine suggest the answer is maybe.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq00033b6mc9kusdjf@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            First, President Trump vented his frustrations at the lack of commitment from his Russian counterpart to engage in a serious peace process.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq00043b6me24y70vz@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            \u201cWe get a lot of bullshit thrown at us by Putin, if you want to know the truth,\u201d Trump blustered in a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. \u201cHe\u2019s very nice all of the time, but it turns out to be meaningless,\u201d he complained.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq00053b6mww2wfdp5@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            The very next day, as if infuriated by the remarks, Russia launched its largest<s> <\/s>drone attack on Ukraine, sending 728 drones and 13 missiles to strike cities around the country in multiple waves.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq00063b6m411bjr6r@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            It was a \u201ctelling attack,\u201d observed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who condemned the strikes as timed to rebuff peace efforts.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq00073b6miri18dja@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            There are apparent signs of a pattern.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq00083b6muld7on9j@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            Last week, after Trump publicly bemoaned that he had made \u201cno progress\u201d towards a ceasefire after a lengthy telephone call with the Kremlin leader, Russia unleashed yet another massive barrage on Ukraine. It rained down 539 drones and 11 missiles in what Ukrainian officials described as one of the worst attacks of the conflict.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq00093b6mze56ytct@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            You might be forgiven for thinking that every time President Trump expresses anger, frustration or even negativity about his Kremlin counterpart, the immediate response from Russia is to step up the ruthless punishment it metes out to its Ukrainian neighbor.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq000a3b6muokr6htp@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            But it\u2019s not as straightforward as that.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq000b3b6m6povaeu1@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            The problem is, Russia also carries out devastating strikes on Ukraine during periods when the US president is relatively silent about the conflict he notoriously vowed to end in a single day.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq000c3b6mr5jnu1po@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            On June 29, for example, Moscow launched 477 drones and 60 missiles against Ukraine \u2013 at the time, the biggest Russian aerial assault of the war. Yet President Trump had made few significant public comments about Russia in the days before.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq000d3b6m4kbyl60n@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            Furthermore, when President Trump told fellow G7 leaders of industrialized democracies that he essentially regretted the absence of Putin at the June summit, and criticized previous leaders for kicking Russia out of what was then the G8. Moscow went on to ratchet up attacks on Kyiv, killing at least 28 people in a single night of drone and missile strikes on the Ukrainian capital days later.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq000e3b6mk9iu2n45@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            Even positive remarks from the US president, which you might reasonably expect to temper any simmering Russian anger at how it is spoken about in the White House, do not appear to act as a brake on the Kremlin\u2019s excesses.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq000f3b6m873on71x@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            For its part, the Kremlin has played down any suggestion that President Trump\u2019s recent critical outburst has had much impact.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq000g3b6mqa321ewf@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            \u201cWe are taking it quite calmly,\u201d the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters on a daily conference call, adding that \u201cTrump, in general, tends to use a fairly tough style and expressions.\u201d    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq000h3b6m7ni2ilm7@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            In reality, Russian military tactics are much more likely to be driven by its own unrelenting military objective of seizing as much territory as possible before the grinding conflict in Ukraine, now in its fourth year, ultimately comes to a halt.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmcwfpsiq000i3b6m6cre9p2d@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            Likewise, the terrifying increase in the use of Russian drones in recent weeks is more likely to be a reflection of missile shortages and increased drone production in Russia than any angry Putin retort to one of President Trump\u2019s off-hand comments.    <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div>This post appeared first on cnn.com<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Is there a direct link between what US President Donald Trump says and what Russian President Vladimir Putin does?
